More than 60% of students participate in a university sport, academic club or competition, with the university organising more than 100 sporting events and competitions each year.

Many of our students are active members of alumni associations, contributing to the organisation of events, networking activities and professional development programmes that enrich university life and foster a sense of community and collaboration among students.
Clubs
From debate and literature clubs to technology and sustainability clubs, these clubs offer students the opportunity to explore their interests, develop new skills and make valuable connections with peers who share their passions.
Academic competitions
These include inter-university sports tournaments, maths Olympiads and science fairs, highlighting a commitment to physical well-being and intellectual development.
Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programmes
50% of our students have participated in at least one entrepreneurship programme, resulting in the creation of more than 50 startups over the past five years.

The University will celebrate its annual cultural festival with a series of events including artistic performances, exhibitions and activities highlighting the diversity and creativity of the University community.
The UTEF Academic Awards Gala will be held on 22 November 2024. This event will recognise and reward outstanding students and faculty for their academic excellence and contributions to the university community. The gala will include inspirational speeches and a gala dinner.
On 10 December 2024, UTEF will hold its annual Alumni Gathering. This event will bring alumni together to reconnect, share experiences and strengthen the UTEF alumni network. The reunion will include speeches, social activities and networking opportunities.
